The envelope design also has a timeless appearance. It is particularly suited to customers who appreciate traditional luxury and want the minimum amount of hardware or construction in their bedding.
Its main consideration is that the pillow may move slightly within the case during the night and the case can occasionally require adjustment.
The Hidden Zipper Silk Pillowcase
The hidden zipper pillowcase takes a more structured approach. The zipper is concealed within the construction, giving the pillowcase a clean, tailored appearance while helping keep the pillow securely inside.
This can be particularly appealing if you prefer your pillow to remain neatly positioned throughout the night. The finished appearance is more fitted and streamlined, with no envelope flap visible at the back.
The hidden zipper does introduce a mechanical component, however, so a little more care should be taken when washing and handling the pillowcase.
