Terms & Conditions


“Buyer” means the individual or organisation who buys or agrees to buy the Goods from the Seller;

“Contract” means the contract between the Seller and the Buyer for the sale and purchase of Goods incorporating these Terms and Conditions;

“Goods” means the articles that the Buyer agrees to buy from the Seller;

“Seller” means Websense Internet Solutions T/A Silk SA Registration number 2003/091407/23

“Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this agreement and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller;

“Website” means silk.co.za


These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Buyer and shall prevail over any other documentation or communication from the Buyer.

Acceptance of delivery of the Goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the Buyer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Any variation to these Terms and Conditions (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the Seller.

Any complaints should be addressed to the Seller’s registered address at 7 East Rd, Morningside, Sandton, 2146, South Africa.


All orders for Goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and are subject to acceptance by the Seller. The Seller may choose not to accept an order for any reason.

Where the Goods ordered by the Buyer are not available from stock the Buyer shall be notified and given the option to either wait until the Goods are available from stock or cancel the order and receive a full refund within 3 days.


The price of the Goods shall be that stipulated on the Website. The price excludes delivery charges unless a free delivery offer is promoted.

The total purchase price, including VAT, will be displayed in the Buyer’s shopping cart prior to confirming the order.

After the order is received the Seller shall confirm by email the details, description and price for the Goods.

Payment of the price and delivery charges must be made in full before dispatch of the Goods.

Payments can be made by EFT (electronic funds transfer), Direct deposit and credit card. We accept VISA, Mastercard and Diners Club. Payments are processed through “Yoco” secure credit card processing. The secure server conforms to international 256 bit SSL3 encryption requirements, thus complete peace of mind is ensured.


The Seller reserves the right to periodically update prices on the Website, which cannot be guaranteed for any period of time. The Seller shall make every effort to ensure prices are correct at the point at which the Buyer places an order.

The Seller reserves the right to withdraw any goods from the Website at any time.

The Seller shall not be liable to anyone for withdrawing any Goods from the Website or for refusing to process an order.


The Seller warrants that the Goods will at the time of dispatch correspond to the description given by the Seller.


Silk.co.za offers 2 forms of shipping and a collection option. All orders are shipped within 1 working day of receipt of payment. (Eg: if payment is received on Monday before 13H00, your order will be shipped before 14H00 on Tuesday. If your payment is received on Friday after 13H00, your order will be shipped before 14H00 the following Monday or working day)

Local (South Africa) Courier Door to Door

The Courier Guy couriers are our door to door courier service with deliveries in South Africa typically taking 1-2 working days in major centers. Further outlying areas can take up to 5 working days for delivery.

** Godding and Godding silk wearable products are hand-made to order and can take as long as 2 weeks for delivery.


Items can be collected from our offices in Sandton between 08H30 and 16H00 Monday to Thursday or till 15H30 on Fridays (see details below).

International Courier service


If you would like to return an item, please enclose a note stating the reason for the return. Return address details are found below.

Given the personal nature of the products all returns MUST BE unused and unopened.

1. The goods must be unused
2. Goods must be in their original condition & packaging.
3. Goods must be received back within 14 days from the day you receive your order.

Please use a courier, as Silk.co.za cannot be held accountable for returned items not received back. All returned items are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Returns are the responsibility and expense of the customer.
Wrap your return in the same packaging where possible in which you received it and enclose the packing slip. Return via courier (to-door, no post office returns will be collected/permitted).

 If we suspect that the goods have been used or any of the above conditions are not met, we reserve the right to return the goods without notice (and with re-shipping costs being the responsibility of the buyer). Items supplied in sealed packaging that have been opened are non refundable and non exchangeable. A full refund will be made within 7 days from cancellation of the order, provided the goods are returned to us in their original condition. (excluding delivery).

Refunds are made via the purchase method – or for store credit where applicable.


This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Websense T/A Silk chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature:

The Seller shall be entitled to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time but this right shall not affect the existing Terms and Conditions accepted by the Buyer upon making a purchase.


These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by laws of South Africa and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
